The dry season of 2018 led me to a new fishing experience on Progo River, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In my case, often fishing for palung (hampala barb), but caught another fish which is locally named the "bader." It's interesting to me, as far as I know, generally people catch the bader in a bottom fishing way or fishing nets.
According to Wikipedia web page, the "bader" is a freshwater fish in the species of Barbonymus balleroides.
In my fishing book, fishing in casting technique targets the predatory fish such as palung (Hampala Barb). Rechecked on my list, I find no the bader. In fact, I caught a number of that fish during the dry season of 2018.
I ask myself, is it a kind of the predatory fish? I think the question is not a big deal, the big deal is that the bader (Barbonymus balleroides) is on my list now. The bader is my new personal experience of fishing.
So, welcome aboard bader.
